Intel i7 2600K Sandy Bridge Processor 3D Mark 2011,Vantage,2006 Benchmark
Hi guys, recently I upgraded my pc platfom from AMD Phenom II X4 to Intel i7 2600K. Although in reality my previous setup still performs very well on most games like BattleField 2, Call of Duty BlackOps,Dirt3 and a lot more, I decided to change it so that I won't upgrade anymore( I hope so..lolz).
Lets take a look a brief introduction Of Intel latest processor the i7 2600k. (credits from bitech)
Intel is calling Sandy Bridge its second-generation Core architecture, which is wrong. The first Core-branded CPU was a laptop-only CPU based on the Yonah architecture of early 2006, followed by Conroe and its mobile equivalent Merom, which was sold under the Core 2 brand. Ignoring the Conroe update that was Allendale, manufacturing process shrinks of Wolfdale and Penryn, and the Core 2 Quad CPU designs, Intel should have realised that Nehalem counts as a new architecture.
What's New in Intel's Sandy Bridge
Intel has beaten AMD to be the first CPU company to integrate a GPU into the silicon die of an x86 processor – it managed to integrate a GPU into the processor packaging for its Clarksfield-based Core i3 and Core i5 CPUs. We expect AMD’s Fusion combined CPU-GPU chips early this year, with desktop parts available in mid-2011.
Sandy Bridge uses a ring bus to connect its sub-units.
The Intel GPU in question is a significant update from previous Intel HD graphics, with enhanced gaming, video playback and GPGPU capabilities. It’s available in two flavours – the Intel HD 2000 and the Intel HD 3000.
The interesting aspect regarding the graphics unit is that it shares the ‘last-level’ cache (LLC) of the entire die with the CPU execution cores. Intel’s Shared Cache technology has worked incredibly well for it over the years.
There’s a big pool of Level 2 or 3 cache, and any CPU can reserve any amount it requires, therefore making that cache work as efficiently as possible. Allowing the GPU to tap into this shared resource is a logical step, but it required a radical rethink of how processing units access and address it.
In the end, Intel has implemented a ring bus, and not even an Intel Ring Bus Technology®, which is an odd move for a company that loves to brand anything and everything that it creates.
A ring bus controller polls each unit in a looping sequence, accepting or offloading data as it progresses – if the GPU requires data from the main memory (via the processor cache), it will have to wait until the CPU cores have been served first, before sending that request to the System Agent unit, which can pass it onto the integrated memory controller.
So enough for this very complicated explanation. I try benchmark this processor to see how powerful it is. Check it out.

General Luna Rocks at SM Marilao
Last July 30, 2011, this beautiful ladies rock band (General Luna) visited at SM Marilao Bulacan to promote their album. Together with my girlfriend, we came to see their live performance on stage and also had a chance to interact with them and sign autographs to the CD we bought. All in all, it was a very great experience cause its very very rare to see all Filipino female band performing rock songs. We sincerely support this band and hoping more success and had a long career. Rock on and good luck ladies...:)
Here are some photos on their live performance:

AMD Latest FUSION Platform featuring MSI A75MA-G55 with AMD A8 3850 Vision
AMD got the first Llano-based desktop APU, the A8-3850 which can completed with an A75-chipset based motherboards. Matching an A-Series APU and A-Series chipset results a perfect Fusion which also called "Lynx" platform. Here, we conduct some test of MSI A75MA-G55 and AMD A3850 on how well it perform on today's applications and games.
MSI A75MA-G55 - one of the first A75 AMD Chipset that MSI has to offer. The board will support the new AMD A-Series CPU which has an integrated GPU with socket name called “FM1” (905-pins). A75 would be the high-end single chip solution capable of handling these 3 main features - Six SATA 6GB/s connections, four USB 3.0 and eSATA Port Multiplier (allows to connect more than one hard drive to a single SATA port).

MSI N480GTX Lightning Edition Twin Frozr III (NVIDIA GTX 480)
The card and its very huge packaging box. |
One more thing I'll like on this card was its power management. We know the GTX 480 consumes a lot of power but MSI built a very good power profile whereas the clocks of memory and GPU automatically adjust as low as 50Mhz on GPU and 75Mhz on memory( nice work MSI).
This card measures approx 11 inches long. |

Miumiu W10 RAMOS Tablet PC powered by ANDROID 2.2 Froyo
Last month, I went to Shenzhen,China for a special training on my current job. For 10 days of staying there I try to seek something different but cheap electronic gadgets and eventually this thing crosses my path which is a portable tablet PC. Actually, at first I really don't like to buy this because I'm thinking what will be the used of it so I try to convinced first myself. When I saw that it has an android operating system, I was a bit curious of the difference on Windows Mobile,Bada, Symbian and other popular operating system on most gadgets. So finally, its on my hand now hoping it would satisfy my needs on wireless computing.
A short review of Miumiu W10 powered by ARM Cortex A9 processor
Below are the actual pictures taken by me and here it is. enjoy......
FRONT:
Very neat and professional look. Even when you accompanied with other hi end tablet, I can say that this beast can compete on it because its also powered by ARM Cortex A9 CPU and 3D Mali 400 GPU but on a cheaper price.
MAIN MENU:
best game ever.lol.. |
I try to install lot of android games and applications and most of it were all compatible because its already running an Android 2.2.1 Froyo. I try to play games like need for speed shift, Asphalt 5 HD, and of course my favorite game, the Angry Birds.
SIDE VIEW:
As you see, it consist of mini HDMI connector( supports 1080p resolution), headphone jack, power adapter port and USB expansion slot. For USB connection, you need a special cable which was included in the package so no problem on it. Also, it consist of reset button which needs a small needle to press it if something happens bad like wrong flash, update, and other related stuff.

Nuffnang and Hapee Special Screening
An easy question....What makes both Nuffnang and Hapee First Class?
Nuffnang is an Asia-Pacific blog advertising community which helps lot of amateur blogger's to be more enthusiasts and making their blog more attractive to readers thus making it first class above any web advertisers Also it gives the oppurtunity to earn extra income to people and also making network with others blogger/blogs..On the other hand, Hapee for me is the number one makers of quality toothpaste and proudly enhance by Filipino talented doctors and specialist. I can say that it can directly compete against foreign toothpaste company )Colgate,Closeup etc.)in terms of effectiveness and value which average consumers like me can easily buy because its very affordable.
Now, do i need to answer why Nuffnang and Happe First Class? Its simply because they are born to be number ONE!!!

Coolermaster Sentinel Zero-G Gaming mouse
Here we go again my never ending search of the best bang for the buck gaming mouse.lolz! Few days go, I visited one of my favorite computer shop at Gilmore avenue to check the prices for my cousins computer parts to build and while hanging around, I found out this eye catching gaming mice which was display on their show room. I ask one of the staff there for the price but i was a bit unlucky because it does not had a price yet. But because I'm one of the "suki" buyer on that shop and I really get one this, I ask them if they can give me the price that time coz i really want to test this mouse and i had gaming battle this June(pretending a hardcore gamer, if they know, my game was Angry bird, hahaha!). So thats it, they gave me the price in which I was suprised because i didn't expect that it would be that cheaper. So i immediately bought the unit and went home forgetting my real business of checking prices of pc parts for my cousin.lolZ!.
As I've check the unit, I'm quite surprised because it already includes a mouse pad which is very rare on any package of gaming mice. Also the things that really catch my attention were the multiple back-lighting illumination (5 colors) and the little OLED display screen harbored on its surface. I've never seen any mice with lcd display on it. On its display, you can upload any customized logo and also it can display your preset resolution (up to 5600dpi). The grip on hand(for right handed only) really suites for those hardcore gamers like me(still pretending.haha!). Other features of it were the dual laser engine, a 128kb onboard memory, multiple preset profiles which is selectable via built in button as well as the hardware DPI selection and the adjustable weight.
Here are the pictures I've taken:

A jelly fish look speaker (JBL Harman Kardon Sound Stick II)
Recently I got this jelly fish look speaker (The JBL Harman Kardon SoundSticks II) whereas match performance with attractive visual design and a combination that always makes our hearts beat a little faster. They're nearly perfect, save for a few design flaws.

I paired it up with good quality sound card (Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatality) which really enhanced the quality of the sound in gaming, movie watching and music.Even if I've used the on-board sound card., it also sounds good but of course you can't compare on X-Fi's performance.^_^.

RAM lover! (GSkill Ripjaws X 8Gb DDR3 1333 desktop memory)
Recently, I decided to seek for an upgrade on my desktop pc memory even though I know that my existing mems were capable enough to run all my applications stuff installed. Its just Im quite intrigue how much performance would I gain if I will double up the numbers of memory installed( its an upgrade itch again, lol!). My previous installed was a GSkill Ripjaws 4Gb DDR3 1600 CL9 whereas this kind of memory is so fast because it runs at 1.6Ghz maximum speed but the downside was its only 4gb.That's when I decided to convinced myself that I still need more ram so I purchased this 8Gb GSkill Ripjaws X DDR3 1333 and check it out if I would feel the differences of 8gb against 4gb. BTW, according to some reviews the speed difference between DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1600 is quite not noticeable that's why I purchased DDR3 1333 only and to save also some money or I can say that I m short of molah (that's the main reason..hahaha).
And that's it, I put it on this mems and do some test run benchmarking on 3dmark 11, 3dmark vantage, wprime and etc and also try to play today's latest games like Crysis 2 and Need for Speed Shift 2. I noticed that loading on games became so fast and it also added fragments of fps on some games . Now, I can burned dvds while playing games without lagging my system. I can say that 8gb of memory is a worthy upgrade not only because it adds performance but your system setup will became future proof as incoming games and applications were becoming ram and speed hungry.

Asus GTX 460 Top 1Gb DirectCu overclocked Edition
Recently, I bought this card as a replacement on my old Powercolor ATI Radeon 4870 512mb DDR5 PCS Cooling Edition.Im just wondering the difference between DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 on todays latest games like Dirt2, Metro 2033 , Lost planet 2 and etc. Also the cooling system on this card really amazed me because it uses HDT technology which directly contact on GPU core for better absorption of heat.
Some introduction and specification of the card: (based from overclock3d.com)
The Packaging and accesories (From overclock3d.com)
Asus certainly don't believe in the conservation of trees as the DirectCu arrived in a rather elaborate set of packaging. Aside the use of Asus' recent white and green livery, it is also both wide and deep. I say...what lurks inside..?
Some introduction and specification of the card: (based from overclock3d.com)
Less than a fortnight ago we tested nVidia's latest midrange performance offering; the GeForce GTX 460. The product in question was of reference design, sporting its default clock frequencies and cooler. However it became clear that a number of Add In Board partners had developed their own versions of the graphics card. We are fully aware that many of you readers are less fond of the trusty but more basic reference designs so today we're going to test something with all of the bells and whistles attached. This is the Asus GeForce GTX 460 1GB graphics card. There are a number of things to pay attention with this particular graphics card. As the Asus GTX 460 is of the 1GB variety, it sports a wider 256bit memory interface and 32 ROPS as opposed to the 768MB's 192bit and 24 ROPS. The differences that I've mentioned apply to any 1GB graphics card, however the Asus GTX 460 boasts from three additional features. First of all, the DirectCu TOP edition boasts a 100MHz increase in Core Frequency, a 200MHz increase in Shader Frequency and a 400MHz increase in Memory Frequency. Moreover, it might be possible to push this particular variant as it allows the user to manipulate its core Voltage. As far as cooling a heavily overclocked graphics card is concerned, Asus were kind enough to implement an all new cooling system.

Glowing keyboard?? (Saitek V7 Cyborg gaming keyboard)
Computer gaming nowadays becomes more and more popular. You can easily find games on almost all gadgets like cellphones, psp's, ipod's etc. But for me, PC gaming still holds the glory on computer gaming because its cheaper and performs better than usual console games such as xbox and playstaion.
Usually, casual gamers invest on CPU hardware setup for them to cope up the needs of smoother and flawless game play. For professional/hardcore gamers, CPU hardware setup was not the only one to consider a weapon on winning the game, but peripheral devices such as mouse and computer keyboard takes place. Its is very important to have a fast response, more macros and shortcut keys while playing especially on tournament games which requires fast act and coordination of the team. This is where the Saitek V7 Cyborg gaming keyboard enters. This keyboard was so great not only because its has very futuristic design but instead it had a lot of advance gaming features which really fits on professional gamers.
